This double page spread by NME is about Pete Doherty who is very well known for his music, taking heavy drugs regularly and drinking a lot. In bold across the midshot of him is large writing saying ‘IN GOOD HEALTH’ which makes the reader wonder if he really is, as he is holding Two pints of alcohol. This masthead makes the reader confused and intrigued as to why he is holding two pints if he is in such good health. The creator of this magazine has worked well with choosing the colours of the this magazine and putting the word ‘GOOD’ in orange as it is a dark picture apart from the orange pint of beer. Apart from that the photo is very dark as his hair is black, t shirt is a dark colour and the back ground isn’t very clear. This could suggest to the readers and fans that he isn’t in good health and encourage them to read as they are hoping he isn’t back to his dark ways. On the other side of the double page it is mainly writing with a large ‘A’ also in orange. Although this could put people off in the middle of all of the text they have written ‘People say, ‘Oh. Peter used to be your singer’. I’m like, ‘What are you talking about? Used to be?!’ making the words that would attract the readers in bold. I think that this is a good idea on emphasising on these words as the target audience is mainly aimed at teenagers. This Double page spread is mainly set out in columns and has giving me a clearer idea of how I want to set my magazine out.
